The median age of the Ipswich population was 41 years, 3 years above the national median. 74.4% of people living in Ipswich were born in Australia. The other top responses for country of birth were England (3.1%), New Zealand (3.1%), China (1.2%), India (0.9%) and Papua New Guinea (0.5%).
